The Air Force’s Office of Special Investigations (OSI) is a federal law enforcement and counterintelligence agency operating locally and on deployed missions. Armed with elite investigative training and state-of-the-art technology, OSI’s more than 1,700 special agents pursue justice as they conduct criminal and counterintelligence investigations, investigate cybercrime, and provide specialized investigative services such as crime scene investigations and digital forensics.
OSI needed to fill a number of positions around the country. However, attending a recruiting event was a prerequisite for applying to the program. Due to the dispersed nature of potential applicants, MarCom Group proposed that OSI host a virtual event to allow candidates who are unable to attend and qualify for application.
Using our proprietary virtual event platform—e-Vent Center—we organized, produced, and oversaw a two-day virtual event. Day one was for candidates applying from outside the continental United States, and day two was for those residing within the continental United States. We also helped OSI publicize the event and established a pre-registration process that helped OSI maintain good communications with interested candidates.
OSI had 414 candidates pre-register for the event and 263 attendees over the two days. They conducted 180 preliminary interviews that led to a number of tentative job offers and ongoing communications with dozens of candidates.
OSI was so pleased with the event and with the results that they have since done two additional virtual events with similar success.
