The Department of Defense (DoD) created the Civilian Expeditionary Workforce (CEW) to provide needed occupational support of military forces in deployed areas. Civilians provide expertise and professional experience to military commanders that enable them to enlarge their capacities and perform duties otherwise left undone. While civilians are never involved in combat, they may serve in some forward positions to support each mission and are always vital to the overall success of military operations.
CEW is open to any qualifying civilian who can contribute in a range of positions, from blue-collar to senior executive.
MarCom Group was engaged to help relaunch CEW and inform civilians, especially those at DoD, about the unique and rewarding opportunities available. We created a new logo and graphic standards that had their debut in an interactive website supported by print materials distributed throughout DoD and beyond. CEW saw a surge in interest and applications for positions.
