This decades-old organization specializing in fighting for the rights of veterans was facing a grim future. The organization had slipping membership numbers because veterans from the Gulf war and the post-9/11 conflicts were not joining the organization.
MarCom Group was asked to help. Using pending legislation in the U.S. Congress as a springboard for communication, we created a hard-hitting campaign to counter a move to reduce the benefits promised to veterans. The campaign targeted veterans in an effort to spur membership as well as legislators weighing the legislative package before Congress.
Using print, TV, digital banners, and a new website to support the campaign, NAUS made great strides on two fronts: inquiries about membership increased, and the legislation reducing veteran benefits was scaled back.
