FAIRFAX, Va. (January 15, 2025) — MarCom Group, an award-winning, full-service events, advertising, marketing, and communications agency, is proud to appoint Lauren Rainford, a member of the leadership team and vice president of the Strategy, Research & Analytics (SRA) Group, as its new president.

Rainford has worked in many areas of the business, from account management to events, advertising, marketing, and communications. She began as a production specialist early in her career, then progressed to several positions with increasing responsibility. Most recently, she has been serving as the vice president of SRA, leading that group’s crucial work. As president, she will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and lead a team of more than 70 employees.

Lauren Rainford succeeds long-time president and owner Debbie Rainford, who established the agency in 1996 and led it through decades of growth, success, and industry recognition. MarCom Group has been ranked in the Washington DC Area’s Top 25 Advertising Agencies for the past 21 years, and in the Top 10 for the past five years.

“I am exceedingly proud to pass the torch to Lauren,” Debbie Rainford said.

“Lauren has demonstrated extraordinary leadership and delivered exceptional client service during her seven years at the company. She officially joined the agency in 2017; however, she has been part of this company since it was established. It really is a family business with more than three generations involved. You could say that customer service and entrepreneurship are in her genes.

In keeping with the company’s culture of exceptional client support, Lauren will continue to oversee the SRA Group and strategically engage with clients to support our account teams. Debbie Rainford will remain owner and board chairwoman of MarCom Group. Bob Rainford continues in his leadership role as chief creative officer.
